“And I thought the Wii was only good for pulling muscles I didn’t know I had. Science is finally catching up with marketers’ claims that people can lose weight by playing certain video games.

University of Hong Kong researchers recently said that kids playing active video games (which get you off your butt, and get all your parts moving) can burn up to four times as many calories as those that work only thumbs and wrists.

This news has me taking a second look at UltiMotion Swing Zone from Jakks Pacific, which I had dismissed initially as a cheap Wii knockoff.”
